The Food Technology Centre at St Anselm’s College in Birkenhead was designed by Liverpool based architect StudioThree. The building is of the highest specification in both form and function. A simple external structure design allows natural light to flood into the main teaching space through large north light windows. The space created is a superb space for students to learn in.
The tilted roof design that intersects the main grey brick cube, supports the cheeks of magenta and reflects the earth roof superbly. The building is stunnning from all angles especially the steel roof which reaches around the rear of the brick cube and rejoins the main building with real beauty and style. DeskCentre were successful in winning the project and worked closely with both the school, its pupils and the Architect to install a range of furniture that best suited the schools ethos for the project. The project has already been shortlisted for many architectural awards, it is truly a stunning building.
