Case Study Management School University of Liverpool
Desk Centre was chosen to provide a solution for the interior design and fit-out of the University of Liverpool's prestigious new Management School.
Liverpool is one of the country's most popular choices of destination for students in the country, its popularity growing faster than Oxford and Cambridge. The University of Liverpool is currently in the middle of an ongoing capital investment programme to improve facilities and services for students and staff, and this has undoubtedly enhanced the reputation of Liverpool as a leading centre of teaching and research.
The new £8 million purpose-built University of Liverpool Management School offers students a world-class education, with an emphasis on developing entrepreneurs and innovative managers of tomorrow.
Desk Centre was asked to provide a solution for the fit out of the entire Management School for all areas including meeting rooms, offices, restaurant, break out areas and the striking reception atrium, taking into consideration not only the various practical uses of the rooms, but also the unique aesthetics of the building.
The solution proposed by Desk Centre was based around the Gresham range of furniture and was endorsed by the client as it offered versatility and durability whilst reflecting the stylish environment of the building. Desk Centre provided desking, screens, reception and breakout furniture, delivering and installing it over a 4 week period to meet the strict deadlines for the opening of the Management School.
Over a period of 18 months Desk Centre worked in partnership with the University, Architects and building contractors to provide an outstanding legacy for the university and its students. The project was appointed a dedicated team, headed by an experienced Project Manager who produced detailed plans, samples and costings and ensured a successful implementation.
